Claire
Rose BScHons MCSP AACP
Claire
qualified in 2001 with a IIi BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from University
of Cardiff, College of Medicine. She then began a permanent job
in Morriston Hospital, Swansea where she did her junior and senior
II rotations in a range of areas including hand surgery, neurosurgery
and musculoskeletal outpatients. She also worked in a private sports
injury clinic at the hospital one evening a week.
In
2004 she moved to Ceredigion where she is still employed as a full-time
senior physiotherapist working in the musculoskeletal out-patient
departments in Tregaron Hospital and Lampeter Surgery and with neurological
and rehabilitation in-patients in Bronglais Hospital. She has also
been working two nights a week in the Aberystwyth Physiotherapy
and Sports Care Clinic for the past 3½ years, specialising
in pain management and musculoskeletal and sports injuries.
She
is able to offer a range of physiotherapy skills including manual
therapy and exercise therapy, pain management, including acupuncture,
post-operative and sports injury rehabilitation and posture and
ergonomic advice. She is currently doing a 6-month post-graduate
course in non-medical prescribing through Swansea University.
She
is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and the
Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is a member of the
Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
